"Therefore go make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
This is one of my favorite verses because it is the ultimate "homework assignment" for Christians. This is what we get to do every day at Grace Lutheran School!

My name is Jean Syverson and I am returning to the classroom this year after serving as principal of Grace Lutheran School for the past 7 years. I am SO EXCITED to have the opportunity to TEACH again! I have been blessed to be involved in Lutheran education for seventeen years. I spent eleven of those years teaching in grades 3 through 8 and I LOVED it! I especially love building relationships with my students and their families while growing together in our faith and knowledge.

I grew up as the youngest of five in St. Paul, MN and completed high school in Pine City, MN. I graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN in 1988 and earned my Colloquy from Concordia St. Paul in 2002. My first teaching job was on the island of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. I am in my 16th year at GLS.

The Lord has blessed me with a beautiful family. I live in Fargo with my husband, Kevin. Together we have three children, ages 23, 15 and 11 ~ plus two dogs and a cat! We are a busy family on the go. Our lives focus on God through our church and school life. In our spare time we love to attend our kids' activities, travel in our motor home, and spend time on our land by Jamestown.

Please stop by my classroom any time!
